Malcolm Walker Faces New Fraud Allegations in Georgia

Accused scammer allegedly took $2K from elderly woman

ATLANTA, GA – Malcolm Walker, a Georgia man previously arrested for running a fake football recruiting scam, now faces fresh fraud allegations from a Douglas County family who say he scammed them out of nearly $2,000.

Walker, who has built a sizable online presence with nearly 80,000 Facebook followers, allegedly promised to promote Red’s All Purpose Remedy, a product line owned by 77-year-old Alma McKay and her son Phillip Washington.

In voice recordings obtained by the family, Walker offered to create promotional content and claimed he’d pitch the products to college football coaches during a trip to Colorado. After receiving payments for airfare and expenses, Walker repeatedly delayed the trip with excuses.

“He just kept giving me the runaround. Lying, lying, lying,” McKay said.

Months later, with no video, no trip, and no refund, the family reported Walker to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which is currently investigating. However, no charges have been filed yet in that jurisdiction.

Walker is already facing multiple fraud charges in Gainesville, Gwinnett County, and Virginia, where he is charged with Larceny by False Pretenses—a charge similar to Theft by Deception in Georgia.

This isn’t the first time Walker has allegedly scammed families, with prior accusations involving fake promises to arrange meetings with college football programs.

“I’m praying for you, Malcolm,” said Washington. “But you need to cease fire on all this stuff… there’s certain things you don’t do, like taking money from an elderly person—my mom.”
