In a dramatic early morning operation, Delhi Police on Friday arrested two suspects wanted for the murder of Neeraj Tehlan in Najafgarh following an encounter in Gurugram.
The shootout occurred around 4:30 am in the Sector 10 area of Gurugram. The accused have been identified as:
Mohit Jakhad (29) — resident of Chhawla
Jatin Rajput (21) — resident of Vipin Garden, Dwarka More
Police sources said the suspects were involved in the July 4 murder of Neeraj Tehlan in Najafgarh and had been on the run.
“During the encounter, the accused fired six rounds. One bullet struck the bulletproof jacket of Head Constable Narpat, while another hit Sub-Inspector Vikas in the left arm,” said a senior officer.
In retaliation, police returned fire, injuring both suspects in the legs. They were apprehended and rushed to Civil Hospital, Sector-10, Gurugram, where they are undergoing treatment.
