TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — Three individuals were arrested following a SWAT-led search warrant execution on a Hillsborough County residence tied to cocaine trafficking.
On Tuesday, deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a home on East Grove Avenue. After issuing multiple commands, the occupants exited and surrendered.
Body camera footage captured SWAT officers entering the neighborhood with guns drawn and surrounding the trailer home. Three men were seen walking out with their hands raised.
The men and their charges are as follows:
David Green III, 24:
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
Trafficking in cocaine
Possession and delivery of cocaine
Possession of controlled substances with intent to sell (including cannabis)
Resisting an officer without violence
Keeping a public nuisance for drug activity
Kemry Stargell, 35:
Possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to sell or deliver
Resisting an officer without violence
Out-of-county warrant for grand theft
Melvin Fowler, 33:
Felon in possession of firearm and ammunition
Resisting an officer without violence
During the search, deputies seized a stolen Smith & Wesson handgun, as well as Taurus, Beretta, and Firestorm handguns. They also recovered 277.9 grams of crack cocaine and 520.5 grams of marijuana and sativa resin.
The case highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to disrupt drug trafficking and firearm possession in Hillsborough County.
