Agustin Osorio-Lopez Arrested in Elmore County Drug Raid

3 Others Also Detained in Multi-Agency Operation

Elmore County, AL — On the morning of September 22, 2025, at approximately 9:12 a.m., the Elmore County Drug Task Force, in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security, executed a federal arrest warrant at a residence located at 300 Renee Way, Elmore, Alabama.

The operation targeted Agustin Osorio-Lopez, a Mexican national. During the arrest, agents also encountered three other individuals inside the home: Gerado Noeli Mejia-Hernandez, a Honduran national; Gabino Mayorga Juarez, and Arturo Rivera Lopez, both Mexican nationals.

Upon entry, agents observed large quantities of illegal narcotics and contraband in plain view. A search warrant was immediately obtained and executed.

Seized Items Included:

2.4 gross pounds of marijuana

30 grams of crystal methamphetamine

An unspecified quantity of powdered cocaine

Packaging materials and drug paraphernalia

A handgun, rifle, and shotgun

A large amount of U.S. currency

Agents also found a large effigy of Jesus Malverde, a figure commonly revered in narco culture and associated with drug cartels, particularly from Mexico’s Sinaloa region.

Arrests and Charges:

Agustin Osorio-Lopez was taken into federal custody and transferred to Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) under Homeland Security. Further federal charges are expected.

Gabino Mayorga Juarez, Arturo Rivera Lopez, and Gerado Noeli Mejia-Hernandez were all transported to the Elmore County Jail and charged with:

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm

Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree

In addition, Mejia-Hernandez faces a charge of Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer.

Authorities confirmed that all four individuals are in the United States illegally. The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are likely.
