FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) – A man was arrested after barricading himself inside a home and pointing a firearm at police officers, according to the Franklin Police Department.

Officers responded Monday evening to a disturbance call at a residence on Cedar Street. Upon arrival, 43-year-old Jonathan Postins reportedly pointed a gun at the officers before barricading himself inside the home.

Despite several attempts at negotiation, police were unable to get Postins to surrender. The following day, authorities obtained an arrest and search warrant. Postins was taken into custody without further incident.

During the search, officers discovered several firearms and illegal drugs inside the home. Postins now faces charges including wanton endangerment and drug possession.
