Miami Man Arrested for DUI While Driving with Two Children, Claims ICE Agent
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. — Scott Deiseroth, 42, of Miami was arrested Wednesday afternoon after deputies pulled him over for reckless driving with two young children in his car and detected alcohol on his breath.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies responded around 3:24 p.m. to reports of a vehicle driving erratically near Mile Marker 40. Officers spotted Deiseroth driving heavily swerving and crossing into oncoming traffic before stopping him near Mile Marker 36.5.
Upon contact, deputies noticed a strong odor of alcohol and two children aged 7 and 9 inside the vehicle. Deiseroth reportedly gave incorrect directions and misidentified his location. After failing field sobriety tests, he was arrested and taken to Monroe County Jail.
The children were turned over to a family member, and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.
Deiseroth was booked on charges of driving under the influence and child endangerment. His occupation is listed as a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer from Miami, according to the sheriff’s office website.
