Taramani police arrested 30-year-old G. Rajadurai, a resident of Kallukuttai, for allegedly murdering his neighbour D. Anbu Ganapathy on Saturday night (September 20, 2025).
Both men lived in Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Kallukuttai, and were embroiled in a personal feud after Rajadurai learned about Ganapathy’s relationship with his wife in recent months.
On the night of the incident, after a fight with his wife, Rajadurai called Ganapathy for a drink. The two consumed liquor near Perungudi railway station, where Rajadurai suddenly attacked Ganapathy with a knife during an argument, fatally stabbing him.
Following the murder, Rajadurai was apprehended by police, who continue to investigate the case.
