CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Nearly a year after an alleged assault, a Cincinnati woman is now facing murder charges.
Barbara Mathis has been indicted in connection with the attack on John Nichols, which occurred on September 27, 2024. Nichols ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away on July 25, 2025.
In response to his death, Mathis has now been formally charged with murder and felonious assault, according to local authorities.
