Demarcus Wheeler Arrested in Demopolis Drug Trafficking Case

Police seize meth, cocaine, and more after door-kicking call

DEMOPOLIS, Ala. – A suspected drug dealer is behind bars after Demopolis police seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs during a late-night investigation.

According to Police Chief Rex Flowers, Demarcus Wheeler, 31, was arrested on multiple drug charges, including:

Drug trafficking

Possession of dangerous drugs

Possession with intent to distribute

Officers responded to a call from a woman who reported that someone was trying to kick in her door. Upon arrival, they intercepted Wheeler as he was leaving the area.

A search of Wheeler’s vehicle revealed a large quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other narcotics, according to Chief Flowers.

Wheeler was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Marengo County Jail.

Authorities say the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb drug activity and protect residents from the dangers of narcotics in the community.
