Pune city police on Saturday arrested four members of gangster Bandu Andekar’s family from Gujarat in connection with the murder of his teenage grandson, Ayush Komkar.
The accused have been identified as Bandu Andekar’s nephews Shivam Udaykant Andekar (31), Shivraj Udaykant Andekar (29), Abhishek Udaykant Andekar (21), and their mother, Lakshmi Udaykant Andekar (60).
The police have booked them under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Indian Arms Act, and the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
