Timothy Masse Arrested for Disruption at Rhode Island Polling Site

COVENTRY, R.I. (WJAR) – A 33-year-old man, Timothy Masse of Coventry, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, after allegedly causing a disturbance at a local polling site.

The Coventry Police Department responded to a call around 10:15 a.m. reporting that a man was being disruptive to voters and political supporters at the Maple Root Baptist Church, a designated polling location for the town.

According to police, Masse was seen confronting voters, election staff, and political supporters while shouting obscenities and making vulgar remarks. Despite the officers’ arrival, Masse reportedly continued his disruptive behavior.

As a result, Masse was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. The police have not reported any injuries, and the situation was brought under control shortly after his arrest.

This incident occurred on Election Day, when polling sites across the state were active with voters casting ballots.
