PRICEVILLE, Ala. — A routine traffic stop early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a Gurley man on multiple charges, according to Priceville Police Department.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., officers from the Priceville Police K-9 Unit stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Point Mallard Parkway and Marsha Avenue. The vehicle had merged onto I-65 southbound at mile marker 333 and came to a complete stop.
The driver was identified as Richard Bradley Mackusick, 45, of Gurley. Police discovered Mackusick had an active no-bond nationwide extradition warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service for a probation violation tied to a previous weapons charge.
Further investigation uncovered a quantity of generic Viagra, Suboxone, drug paraphernalia, and a collection of checks, debit and credit cards, driver’s licenses, and Social Security cards belonging to multiple individuals.
Mackusick was arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail. He faces charges including trafficking in stolen identities, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of prescription medication, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $6,600, with a hold placed by the U.S. Marshals Service.
