GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) — A thorough investigation in Greenbrier County led to the arrest of Karl Myers, 44, a White Sulphur Springs resident, on child pornography and drug-related charges.
According to Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker, Myers was taken into custody Friday following findings by the West Virginia State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The task force discovered that Myers had allegedly downloaded over 300 images depicting child sexual abuse material.
Following the arrest, authorities executed search warrants at Myers’ home, uncovering further evidence of child pornography and suspected drug distribution. Also found at the residence was 24-year-old Jenna Hundley, who was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
Myers is being held at Southern Regional Jail on two cash-only bonds: $50,000 for the child pornography charge and $25,000 for the drug charge. Hundley is also incarcerated at Southern Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
Sheriff Baker praised the work of the State Police ICAC Task Force, the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, and local deputies, emphasizing their commitment to protecting children.
“Let it be known to those who commit crimes against our children that we will not stop. We will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” Baker said. “We use every resource to protect our children. If you want to victimize them, seek help or hide—but we will find you.”
