LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) — A woman was arrested in Liberty County after a traffic stop for speeding led to a major drug bust involving meth, fentanyl, and other narcotics.
According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Caitlin Liker was pulled over for speeding and was found to be driving with a suspended license due to prior felony charges. Deputies also discovered a minor child in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies found methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and other illegal drugs, all packed in a manner suggesting they were intended for distribution. Authorities say there was also evidence the drugs were meant to be smuggled into a prison.
Liker now faces multiple felony charges, including:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Fentanyl/Fentanyl Analogues (4+ grams)
Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell/Deliver
Introduction of Contraband (or Attempted)
Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams
Driving While License Suspended (3rd or Subsequent Offense)
Unlawful Possession of Synthetic Narcotics
She remains in custody as the investigation continues.
