Randal Smith Arrested; Ashley Willoughby Wanted in Lumberton Drug Case

Cocaine, Suboxone, firearms seized in Robeson County drug bust

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — One man is in custody and another remains at large following a significant drug investigation in Lumberton, officials announced Friday.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Division, Community Impact Team, and SWAT operators executed two search warrants at residences on Old Allenton Road and Collins Drive in Lumberton, as part of an ongoing probe.

During the operation, deputies seized quantities of cocaine, Suboxone strips, and multiple firearms.

Randal Smith, 48, of Lumberton, was arrested and faces charges including:

Possession of cocaine

Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance

Manufacture, sale, or delivery of controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Smith is currently held in the Robeson County Detention Center under a secured bond of $400,000.

Authorities are actively searching for Ashley K. Willoughby, 40, of Lumberton, wanted for:

Felony conspiracy

Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance

Possession of drug paraphernalia
