ROME, Ga. – A 78-year-old man was arrested this week after allegedly assaulting another elderly man during a dispute on Northridge Court, according to local police.
Robert Dan Langford, a resident of Rome, is accused of punching a 79-year-old man in the face with his fist. Authorities have not released details regarding what led to the altercation.
Langford was taken into custody and is now facing a battery charge.
No further injuries or medical details were released, and police have not indicated whether the men knew each other prior to the incident.
