Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested nine individuals for their role in cheating during the High Court LDC Recruitment Exam‑2022 by using Bluetooth devices. The case implicates Porav (Paurav) Kaler, who is also known for his involvement in the REET and Patwari exam cheating scams.
The arrested clerks and junior assistants served in courts across several districts including Bikaner, Udaipur, Pali, Churu, Bhilwara, Nagaur, and Sikar.
They are accused of using micro Bluetooth or spy earpiece devices to receive answers during the exam. These devices were reportedly procured from abroad and operated through a network that also involved training candidates in how to use them.
The LDC exam was conducted on March 12 and 19, 2023 for over 2,800 posts, with results declared on June 11, 2023.
During interrogation, Porav Kaler confessed that 26 candidates had passed using these devices, and that more than 18 others were under suspicion.
Porav Kaler is already facing allegations and previous arrests in other exam cheating cases, including the REET‑exam cheating involving Bluetooth‑fitted slippers, the Patwari recruitment exam‑2021, and others. His network reportedly included members who recruited candidates, provided cheating equipment, and helped with logistics. Teachers, medical experts (ENT specialists) for fitting devices, and court‑employees are among those allegedly connected.
The SOG is continuing its investigation with technical evidence including call detail records (CDRs), SIM usage patterns, examination center surveillance, and suspect witness statements. More arrests and legal actions are expected.
