In a notable drug trafficking crackdown, Kujanga Police arrested two individuals involved in selling brown sugar in Narendrapur village, Jagatsinghpur district, on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Bikash Swain and Prakash Chandra Kuanr. Acting under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur, the Kujanga Police launched operation ‘PRAHAR’ to target the illicit trade.
During the raid, officers seized 16.07 grams of brown sugar valued at Rs 1.6 lakh, along with two mobile phones and Rs 17,400 in cash.
The arrested individuals remain in police custody and will be produced before the court shortly as investigations continue.
