On Sunday, August 31, 41-year-old John Antonio Ikard of Lakeview Drive in Statesville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies. He faces felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges including possession of drug paraphernalia.
At approximately 2:00 a.m., an Iredell County deputy conducted a traffic stop and noticed signs of potential criminal activity. Both the driver and passenger were asked to exit the vehicle for a search.
During the search, Ikard, who was a passenger, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
Ikard was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond of $7,500. His District Court appearance was scheduled for Tuesday, September 2.
