CINCINNATI —
A woman is dead and another is facing murder charges following a deadly shooting in Cincinnati’s Millvale neighborhood, according to police and court records.
The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday in the 2000 block of Millvale Court. Officers with the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) responded to reports of a shooting and found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite life-saving efforts by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified as 29-year-old Taralynn Bowers.
According to court documents, 25-year-old Marshee Luther is accused of shooting and killing Bowers after a verbal dispute. The nature of the dispute was not detailed in the initial reports.
Luther appeared in court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. She was not granted bond, and her next court hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
The investigation is ongoing.
