Randall Meck Sentenced to 15 Years for Child Porn Crimes

Ex-Cave Spring AD also admitted sex travel to Philippines

ROANOKE, Va. (BTW21) — Former Cave Spring High School athletic director Randall Meck has been sentenced to 15 years and seven months in federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing child pornography, according to court records.

Meck, who had been living in Singapore, was arrested on December 21, 2024, following an extensive federal investigation.

Prosecutors say Meck admitted to traveling to the Philippines multiple times between 2021 and 2024 for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with minors.

Federal documents also revealed that Meck possessed more than 700 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

In addition to his prison sentence, Meck was ordered to:

Pay a $100 special assessment

Pay $5,000 in restitution to victims

Undergo lifetime supervised release upon completion of his sentence

No further details about the investigation have been released by federal authorities at this time.
