PORTERVILLE, Calif. (FOX26) — Two men were arrested Monday afternoon in Porterville after a routine traffic stop uncovered drug possession and DUI offenses.
Around 1:30 p.m., Porterville Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of West Henderson Avenue. The driver, identified as Curtis Souza, was found to be under the influence and had multiple outstanding arrest warrants.
Officers also questioned the passenger, Gary Halford, who was found in possession of 25 grams of methamphetamine. A background check revealed Halford had a prior conviction for meth possession.
Both men were arrested without incident. Souza was taken into custody for DUI and his existing warrants, while Halford faces multiple drug-related charges.
