WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 53-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a juvenile in the arm Wednesday night in Winston-Salem.
Police responded around 8:38 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 900 block of East Sprague Street. Upon arrival, they found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Following an investigation, officers located and arrested Willie Edgar Williams, identifying him as the suspect in the shooting.
Williams is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was booked into custody and received a $150,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
