Goa Police Arrest Aniket Muchandikar in Ganja Supply Case

Delivery Agent’s Arrest Leads Cops to Drug Supplier in Vasco

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Goa Police has made further progress in its crackdown on local drug networks by arresting a key supplier linked to a food delivery-based drug operation. The latest arrest is of Aniket Muchandikar, a native of Belagavi, Karnataka, residing in Bogmalo, Goa.

Muchandikar was allegedly supplying ganja to youth in the area via small-time peddlers. The ANC detained him in Jairamnagar, Vasco, and recovered 59.8 grams of ganja. His mobile phone was also seized to trace both forward and backward linkages in the supply chain.

The operation was led by PSI Sunil Falkar, under the supervision of PI Sajith Pillai, and monitored by ANC DSP Nerlon Albuquerque and ANC SP Sunita Sawant.

This arrest follows the recent detention of Rahul Uppaldinni, a 33-year-old food delivery agent from Vasco. He was caught during a late-night raid in Sancoale, attempting to deliver ganja disguised as food. Police seized ganja worth Rs 22,600, along with his two-wheeler and mobile phone.

Officials say such delivery-based peddlers are increasingly targeting young individuals across Goa, using legitimate platforms as cover for narcotics distribution.
