Srinagar Police Arrest Four Drug Peddlers, Recover Narcotics

Four arrested in Srinagar with substantial narcotics during naka checks

In a strong crackdown against drug trafficking, Srinagar Police arrested four drug peddlers and recovered a significant quantity of narcotics from their possession.

According to a spokesperson, during naka checks at Zafran Colony, police from PS Panthachowk apprehended Furqan Majid Khan (Kanda), son of Majid from Kanipora, and Sameer Hussain Dar, son of Gh. Mohammad Dar from Chattergam. A substantial amount of narcotics was recovered from them. An FIR No. 02/2025 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered, and both were arrested.

Similarly, at Zawoora crossing, two chronic drug peddlers, Suhaibji Bhat of Ganderbal and Ubaidullah Lone of Hanji Danter Anantnag (A/P Naz colony Panthachowk), were caught in a vehicle (Alto JK16B-3205) carrying narcotics. An FIR under the relevant NDPS sections was registered.

Ubaidullah Lone is a known supplier who transports drugs from outside the Union Territory to local youth, contributing to the destruction of many lives.

Police investigations continue to dismantle the narcotics network. J&K Police urges the public to assist by sharing information to create a safer, drug-free society.
