Ali Zokari Faces Drug, Counterfeit Charges in Windsor Raid

Search at Z-Tobacco & Vape uncovers marijuana, fake goods

WINDSOR, NC — A Washington man is facing multiple felony charges after a search warrant was executed on Friday morning at Z-Tobacco & Vape, located at 111 US Hwy 13 Bypass in Windsor.

According to the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Ali Rayed Rafiq Zokari, 25, is wanted on several felony warrants following the raid. Investigators seized over 2.2 pounds of marijuana, various THC products, and a large quantity of counterfeit trademark goods.

Zokari is facing the following charges:

Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana

Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances

Felony Possession of Marijuana

Felony Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance

Felony Selling of Counterfeit Trademark Goods

Bertie County Sheriff Tyrone Ruffin issued a statement following the raid:

“Anytime we can take this poison off our streets, it’s a huge win. The true winners are the citizens of Bertie County. These products often target our youth. I’ve given fair warning to tobacco store owners—those warnings are over.”

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
