URBANA, OH — Police arrested 23-year-old Omar R. Malcolm Jr., of Springfield, after a domestic disturbance early Saturday morning endangered a five-month-old infant.
Officers responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of South High Street, where Malcolm allegedly became physically aggressive during an argument with the child’s mother. After being locked outside, he reportedly punched a window, shattering glass near where the infant was lying and injuring himself in the process.
Malcolm fled the scene before police arrived. Warrants were later issued for domestic violence, child endangerment, and criminal damage.
On Tuesday, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department located and arrested Malcolm in Springfield. He was turned over to Urbana Police, interviewed, booked on the charges, and taken to jail.
