ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has uncovered a drug trafficking operation targeting students in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, arresting a Nigerian woman allegedly at the center of the network.
The accused, identified as Wasilat Amusa, also known as Alaba, was caught red-handed selling drugs from a flat in Sector H-13 of Islamabad, the ANF spokesperson said on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
During the raid, 180 grams of cocaine were recovered from her residence. Officials also seized her Nigerian passport, which had been issued in Lagos.
Amusa is suspected of supplying narcotics to students at a local educational institute. Her arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on cross-border drug smuggling operations that authorities say are increasingly involving Nigerian nationals.
The ANF confirmed that several Nigerian drug dealers have already been apprehended in recent months as part of this initiative.
A formal case has been registered, and further investigations are underway to uncover the extent of the trafficking network.
