KELLIHER, Minn. (Valley News Live) — Dylan Villaran, a Beltrami County resident, was arrested on August 17 after allegedly threatening a man with a shotgun during a dispute over property.
According to court documents, deputies responded to a call reporting a family dispute involving firearms. The victim stated that Villaran arrived at the property at high speed, brandished a shotgun, and ordered him to leave while calling him a thief.
The victim, who was removing belongings from a rental property owned by his grandparents, reported that Villaran approached him inside the house, leading to a physical altercation. The victim suffered a cut above his eye, scratches, and abrasions.
The property owner confirmed that Villaran no longer had the gun after calming down. The victim had been asked to leave the property in December due to unpaid rent but was never formally evicted or trespassed.
Villaran admitted to retrieving the shotgun to confront the victim but denied any physical assault. He was taken into custody and is charged with terroristic threat and assault. He is currently held at the Beltrami County Jail.
