In a major anti-narcotics operation, Sangareddy Police on Sunday morning seized 128 kilograms of dry ganja being transported in two cars. The seizure was made at Pati Crossroads, under BDL-Bhanur police station limits, and led to the arrest of four alleged drug peddlers.
The operation was jointly conducted by the BDL-Bhanur police and Sangareddy Narcotics and Anti-Drug Bureau (S-NAB), led by Inspectors Vijay Krishna and Nageshwar Rao.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were trafficking ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra.
The accused have been identified as:
Feroz Ahmed
Sagar Nayak
Mehaboob Abdul Ahmed
Mohammad Irfan
Two vehicles used in the smuggling operation were also seized.
Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj stated that the accused would be produced before the court. H
He also appealed to the public for cooperation in combating narcotics and encouraged citizens to report illegal drug activities by calling S-NAB at 8712656777, assuring that all whistle-blower identities will be kept confidential.
