Killingly Man Arrested After DUI Chase, Active Warrant Discovered
KILLINGLY, Conn. — A Killingly man was arrested Friday night after leading police on a pursuit while allegedly driving under the influence and with multiple violations, according to Connecticut State Police.
Around 11 p.m. on August 8, troopers observed the suspect, identified as Krajewski, driving along Route 101 with improper registration plates. Authorities were already aware of an active PRAWN warrant and a suspended driver’s license tied to Krajewski.
Troopers noted his vehicle also failed to stay within its lane. When they activated emergency lights, Krajewski did not stop, instead fleeing and leading officers on a chase.
The pursuit ended on a dead-end residential road in East Killingly, where Krajewski abandoned the vehicle and fled into nearby woods. A trooper eventually located and arrested him.
Krajewski was charged with:
Engaging police in pursuit
Interfering with an officer
Operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
Driving with a suspended license
Misuse of registration plates
He was held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on August 11.
