A TikTok video recently surfaced showing Alvi Limani, 20, and his mother, Vilma Vneshta, 42, being extradited after attempting to flee the country through Florida. The mother-son pair was arrested in Miami in connection with a fatal street-racing crash on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway.

On June 29, Limani allegedly drove recklessly while racing in his BMW, which collided with two other vehicles and rolled over multiple times. Tragically, 20-year-old Albion Hysenaj, also from Staten Island, was ejected from Limani’s car and died at the scene. Another passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Following the crash, Limani and another passenger who was not ejected reportedly fled the scene. Investigators later discovered that Limani and his mother fled to Miami, where they were apprehended on July 17 and held pending extradition back to New Jersey.

Limani now faces serious charges, including first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree vehicular homicide, and third-degree tampering with public records, among others. His mother, Vneshta, was charged with third-degree hindering.

Emily Harrington, 19, a passenger who fled with Limani, faces charges of hindering, obstruction, and conspiracy. Another driver involved in the crash, Jeter Ogando, 23, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and related offenses.

The investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
