The Kozhikode City Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested another suspect in the Hemachandran murder case, bringing the total number of arrests to three.
The latest accused, V.V. Vysakh (35), an interior designer from Nadavayal, Wayanad, was arrested on Thursday, July 3, after the police gathered scientific evidence linking him to the crime.
According to sources, Vysakh was a close friend of Jyothish Kumar (32), one of the previously arrested suspects. Vysakh is accused of helping bury the body of Hemachandran, who was allegedly abducted and murdered over a financial dispute.
Earlier, the police had also arrested B. S. Ajesh (27). Investigators believe all three played active roles in either the planning, execution, or cover-up of the murder.
The prime accused, Noushad, is reportedly in Saudi Arabia, and police are now initiating legal proceedings for his extradition to India.
Police sources confirmed that the case involves complex financial dealings and betrayal of trust. The body of Hemachandran, whose abduction and murder shocked the local community, was secretly buried, allegedly by the accused trio.
