BLUE POINT, N.Y. — A 19-year-old man from Blue Point, Nicholas Riggio, has been arrested for possession and promotion of child sexual abuse materials, police said.
Authorities were alerted after receiving a tip that led to a search of Riggio’s home. During the investigation, police discovered child sexual abuse images on a cellphone.
Riggio faces charges of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16.
Police are urging anyone who believes they may be a victim to come forward and contact authorities.
