In a coordinated operation, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and Amberpet police arrested Mangala Ram, 44, a drug peddler, and seized 21 kilograms of poppy husk along with drug-processing equipment on Tuesday.

Mangala Ram, originally from Barmer district in Rajasthan, had settled in Chengicherla, Hyderabad. He was working as a welder alongside his brother-in-law when authorities caught him.

The seizure marks a significant strike against narcotic trafficking in the region, with police continuing efforts to dismantle drug networks.
