The Keonjhar police arrested a young couple from Ankura village on Sunday in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Gangadhar Naik.
The accused, Soumya Ranjan Patra (20) and his wife Bijuli Patra (19), allegedly killed the victim after he reportedly misbehaved with Bijuli. Gangadhar Naik, also from Ankura, was beaten to death on Wednesday, and his body was found the following morning.
The couple has confessed to the crime, confirmed Manas Mohakud, inspector in-charge of Patna police station. Investigations are ongoing to gather more details.
