SAN ANTONIO, TX — Popular streamer Duke Dennis, born Denzel Dennis, was arrested Saturday night at a San Antonio shopping mall, police confirmed. The 31-year-old AMP content creator now faces charges of criminal trespassing and evading arrest, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Viral video footage captured the moment Dennis was detained, showing him handcuffed on the mall floor as fellow streamer Kai Cenat filmed from an upper level. Cenat’s presence sparked further attention, turning the incident into a trending topic across social media.
Reactions online were split—some fans voiced concern, while others made jokes referencing AMP’s chaotic streaming style. Comments ranged from “Free Duke!” to memes about content creators blurring the lines between entertainment and reality.
The arrest followed a high-profile month for AMP, the streaming collective that includes Dennis, Cenat, Fanum, Agent 00, Chrisnxtdoor, and ImDavisss. In July, the group operated from a 53-acre estate in San Antonio, formerly owned by NBA star Tony Parker, where they streamed daily and held fan events.
Whether Dennis’s arrest is connected to AMP’s activities has not been confirmed by police.
AMP is known for its spontaneous, unscripted content that often merges real life with performance. That same openness may now be inviting legal risks, as streamers navigate fame in real-world settings.
As of now, Dennis remains in custody and has not released a statement. His arrest could affect AMP’s momentum and raise broader questions about accountability in influencer culture.
