BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Four individuals are facing serious charges after being arrested in connection with an alleged mail theft operation in Bowling Green.
Authorities say 26-year-old Xavier Paul of Belleville, Michigan, attempted to cash a stolen check at a local post office when a U.S. postal inspector intervened. Paul reportedly fled the scene, jumping into a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Ginger Davila-Lopez of New York.
The vehicle, which also contained Alexandria Rodriguez and Jeanelle Urena, both 27 and also from New York, sped away toward Scottsville Road and I-65. A postal inspector pursued the car until Smiths Grove police conducted a traffic stop.
Inside the vehicle, officers found marijuana and a large amount of U.S. currency. All four were taken into custody and are being held at the Warren County Regional Jail.
Davila-Lopez faces charges including possession of stolen mail, theft of identity, forged instruments, reckless driving, and operating with a suspended license. Paul is charged with similar offenses, including fleeing police. Charges against Rodriguez and Urena have not yet been specified.
The investigation is ongoing.
