HORSEHEADS, N.Y. — Eric D. Erickson, 34, of Athens, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Thursday, July 31, on multiple felony charges related to an alleged theft from his employer in 2024.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, Erickson faces charges of first-degree falsifying business records, a class E felony, and third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
The arrest followed an investigation initiated after Lindsey Equipment reported a suspected fraud incident on January 23, 2025. He then reportedly diverted payments for these invoices into his own account using an online payment platform.
Investigators estimate the total stolen amount to be $4,235.37.
Erickson was processed in Town of Horseheads court and released, pending further appearances in Town of Big Flats Court. The investigation remains ongoing.
