JAMESTOWN, NY — Mark M. Zadroga, 45, a New Jersey man, was arrested on July 22 after allegedly attempting to secure a large loan from the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union using fraudulent information.

At approximately 10:44 a.m., credit union staff reported suspicious activity to police, claiming a man was trying to obtain a loan with forged identification documents. When officers interviewed the suspect, he allegedly provided a false name.

Police investigation revealed Zadroga used forged IDs and documents stolen from a New Jersey resident in an attempt to secure the loan fraudulently.

Zadroga was charged with five counts of second-degree forgery, first-degree identity theft, second-degree grand larceny, and second-degree criminal impersonation. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment scheduled for Friday in Jamestown City Court. Authorities warn that additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
