WILLIFORD, Ark. (KAIT) – A Northeast Arkansas mother and her two parents are facing serious charges after two children in their care tested positive for methamphetamine, THC, and amphetamines, according to court records.
In June, the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division received a referral from DHS about suspected drug use and child endangerment at a home on Shady Lane in Sharp County.
Court documents reveal that 22-year-old Chloe Yun was living with her children and their grandparents, 41-year-old Brandy Denise Vick and 43-year-old Charles Anthony Vick.
During a home visit, DHS reported observing both Chloe and Brandy appearing “under the influence,” with a knife and a marijuana pipe in reach of the children. Yun submitted to a drug test, which she failed—testing positive for meth, THC, and amphetamines. Brandy Vick refused to be tested.
In a startling admission, Yun allegedly told DHS that all three adults used drugs daily and were involved in making and selling meth.
The children were removed from the home and evaluated at Arkansas Children’s Team for Children at Risk Medical Clinic, where hair follicle tests confirmed the presence of meth, THC, and amphetamines. The levels were described as “shockingly high” and indicated exposure within the previous 90 days.
On July 16, a judge found probable cause to charge all three adults:
Chloe Yun – Introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person (Class Y felony), Endangering the welfare of a minor (Class D felony)
Brandy Vick – Same charges
Charles Vick – Same charges
Brandy and Charles Vick were arrested the same day and are being held on $75,000 bonds. An arrest warrant has been issued for Chloe Yun, who remains at large as of the latest reports.
The investigation is ongoing.
