SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Former NFL running back Eddie Lacy is facing DUI-related charges following his arrest last week in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Scottsdale Police Department reported that officers responded to reports of a potentially impaired driver last Monday night. After observing traffic violations, officers pulled over a vehicle matching the description and identified Lacy as the driver.
The 34-year-old former athlete faces multiple charges, including:
- DUI – impaired to the slightest degree
- DUI – BAC of .08 or more
- Extreme DUI – BAC .15 or more
- Extreme DUI – BAC .20 or more
- Possession of liquor in an open container
Following the investigation, Lacy was taken to the Scottsdale City Jail.
Lacy, a former standout at the University of Alabama, was named Offensive MVP in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game and later selected 61st overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after rushing for nearly 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first season. After four seasons with Green Bay, Lacy joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.
