FORSYTH, GA — A 73-year-old woman wanted for identity theft in Monroe County has been located and arrested, according to an update from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on July 17, 2025.
Roxie Elaine Watson, who was initially sought by law enforcement, is now being held without bond at the Monroe County Jail. Online records confirm she is charged with identity theft fraud.
Prior to her arrest, deputies had asked for public assistance in locating Watson, who was last known to live on Houze Road in Crawford County. She was described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds.
Authorities initially issued a call for tips through multiple channels, including phone, social media, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office App, which allows anonymous submissions.
