EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Jornell Keelen, 31, the leader of a local rap label, was among several individuals arrested during a large-scale drug bust in East Baton Rouge Parish, deputies confirmed.
Keelen faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to distribute Schedule II narcotics, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Sid Gautreaux revealed that the operation resulted in the seizure of over 2,200 lethal doses of fentanyl along with various other drugs and items. The investigation, initiated in early July, targeted a Baton Rouge-based polydrug trafficking ring connected to people affiliated with the rap label “Major League Entertainment.”
Authorities conducted extensive surveillance and a controlled purchase of crack cocaine, leading them to identify twelve locations used for drug storage and distribution.

Sheriff Gautreaux praised the effort, stating, “This type of criminal enterprise doesn’t just deal in narcotics. It brings violence, stolen weapons, and danger to every neighborhood it touches. I’m proud of our gang intelligence and enforcement division and our partners for shutting this down and saving lives.”
