Ravichandra Revankar Arrested in Rs 2.5 Lakh OLX Car Sale Scam

Banavasi man accused of cheating multiple victims via OLX app

The CEN police of Mangaluru arrested Ravichandra Manjunath Revankar (29), a resident of Banavasi, for his involvement in a car sale scam conducted through the OLX app.

Ravichandra allegedly cheated a complainant from Mangaluru of Rs 2.5 lakhs by promising to sell a car via the online platform. During the investigation, police discovered that the accused maintained 21 bank accounts and used 8 SIM cards. Authorities have linked him to over 80 cyber cheating cases filed against his eight mobile numbers.

The accused reportedly duped numerous victims by accepting cash under the pretense of selling vehicles through the OLX app over the past three years.
