
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — On June 26, 2025, Fort Wayne Police responded to a shooting at the 1000 block of Hamilton Avenue, where an adult male and female were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting followed an earlier altercation at a local beauty parlor near Rudisill and Lafayette. According to investigators, the male suspect fired shots at the female victim as she attempted to drive away, causing her to crash into a nearby home. The male suspect was later fatally shot by an unidentified individual.
Following a thorough investigation, two suspects were identified: 29-year-old Shan Ford Jr. and 37-year-old Quenecia Gaylor. Both were taken into custody on June 27 without incident. Ford faces preliminary charges of murder, felony murder, and attempted burglary. Gaylor is charged with murder-acting in concert, felony murder-acting in concert, and attempted burglary.
The suspects are currently held at the Allen County Lockup. The Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the case.
