
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. — Two men were arrested following a drug and gun bust in Boones Mill, announced the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, June 24, deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), executed a search warrant at a residence on Paradise Acres Drive. The operation was the result of a multi-month investigation into illegal drug and firearm activity.
During the search, authorities seized significant amounts of illegal narcotics, multiple firearms, stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and over $6,000 in cash.
Antonio Luis Marchese, 36, of Boones Mill, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is currently being held without bond. Michael Anthony Carswell, 36, of Roanoke, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and was released on secured bond.
The investigation remains active, with further charges expected pending forensic analysis.
