CRISFIELD, MD – Tyren Lee Ivey, 28, of Crisfield, was arrested Friday morning in Seaford, Delaware, in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Somerset County in April.
Ivey faces multiple serious charges including first-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and other firearm-related offenses. Delaware State Police took him into custody and transported him to the Somerset County Detention Center, where he awaits a district court commissioner’s review.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Evan Neal of Crisfield, was pronounced dead at the scene on April 25, 2025. Officers responded to a shooting report around 4:43 p.m. at a residence on Cove Street in Crisfield’s Somers Cove neighborhood and found Neal with a gunshot wound.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement agencies including the Delaware State Police, Delaware Homicide Unit, Seaford Police Department, Crisfield Police Department, and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force collaborated to apprehend Ivey.
Authorities continue to investigate the case.
