Amanda Pavlik, Others Arrested in Johnstown Drug Bust

Fentanyl, paraphernalia seized in multi-agency operation

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — A multi-agency investigation into drug trafficking has led to several arrests in Johnstown, Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer announced Thursday.

Authorities arrested Amanda Pavlik, Morgan Deitle, and Joseph Mangum on Wednesday as part of a coordinated effort involving federal, state, and local law enforcement.

Following Deitle’s arrest, investigators searched a residence at Oakhurst Homes in Johnstown, uncovering 14 grams of fentanyl valued at over $4,000, along with drug paraphernalia, Neugebauer said.

“This was an intensive investigation involving multiple agencies,” Neugebauer said. “Individuals with ties to Michigan and Ohio were working to distribute drugs in our area. Law enforcement will continue to pursue those harming our communities.”

Deitle faces multiple felony charges, including:

Corrupt organizations (2 counts)

Dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities (2 counts)

Criminal use of a communication facility

Conspiracy (4 counts)

Possession with intent to deliver (8 counts)

Pavlik and Mangum are also charged with:

Corrupt organizations

Dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities

Conspiracy

Possession with intent to deliver

Mangum faces an additional charge of criminal use of communication facilities. All three were arraigned and booked at Cambria County Prison.

Also charged was Mark Hiles, already in custody. He now faces similar charges in connection with the same investigation.

Frederick McDaniel was arrested separately on an unrelated warrant, with charges pending.
