Alyssa Perry, 35, from Rockaway Township, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, officials announced.
The charges followed a report from a Morris Knolls High School official who alerted the Denville Police and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office about inappropriate behavior by Perry, who is a teacher.
An investigation revealed that Perry sexually assaulted a 17-year-old victim on two separate occasions between February and March 2025 at her home.
On June 6, 2025, Perry was formally charged with two second-degree counts of sexual assault and one third-degree count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Perry has been released under pre-trial supervision with strict conditions, including no contact with the victim, the school, or any students.
She is scheduled to appear in court on July 14, 2025, before Judge Ralph Amirata.
The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details will be provided at this time.
